Cookie Policy
A short, honest list of what Saral Orbit stores in your browser, and why.
Effective from 10 October 2026 · Applies to saralorbit.in
1. What are cookies
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website saves in your browser. Browsers also offer “local storage”, which works in a similar way. Websites use them to remember things between pages and visits — for example, that you are signed in.
2. What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
connect.sid | Cookie — strictly necessary | Session cookie. Keeps you signed in, applies your plan and daily limit, and ties a result file to the browser that created it. It also lets us count a visit once per day, without knowing who you are. | Up to 24 hours, or until you log out |
so_consent | Cookie — remembers your choice | Saved only when ads are running on the website and you answer the cookie question. It stores just “yes” or “no” for advertising cookies, so we do not ask you again and we know whether we may load ads. | 6 months |
so_theme | Local storage — preference | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Until you clear your browser data |
The session cookie is “HttpOnly” (page scripts cannot read it), “SameSite=Lax”, and “Secure” on HTTPS. Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent because the website cannot work without them. They hold a random identifier, not your name, files or passwords.
Our website can also work as an installable app. For this your browser may keep copies of our pages and images so that they open faster; this contains no personal information.
3. What we do not use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies set by us, and none from partners without your permission.
- No social-media tracking pixels.
- At present, no third-party analytics such as Google Analytics.
- No cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.
4. Third parties
- Payment gateways. When you pay, you are taken to the gateway’s page (such as Razorpay, Cashfree, PayU or PhonePe). It may set its own cookies for security and fraud checks, under its own policy.
- Sign-in with Google or Microsoft. If you choose these, the provider’s page may set its own cookies.
- Advertisements (only when switched on) — only with your permission. Visitors on free plans may see ads on some tool pages. When ads are running, we first ask you in a cookie box. Until you choose “Accept”, no ad code is loaded at all, so no advertising cookie can be set. Paid-plan users, and the Pricing, Payment, Login and Dashboard pages, never show ads. If you accept, the ad provider may set its own cookies to show or measure ads; their policy then applies.
If we ever add an analytics or advertising service that sets non-essential cookies, we will ask for your permission first and update this page.
5. Your choices
- Change your mind any time: when ads are running, open “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and switch advertising off or on. Switching off stops ad code from loading from then on; cookies already set by an ad provider can be removed in your browser settings.
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies; Edge, Firefox and Safari have similar pages).
- If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to sign in and many tools will not work.
- You can clear the saved theme at any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
- On a shared computer, log out and clear the browser’s data when you finish.
6. Changes
We will update this page whenever we change which cookies we use. The date at the top shows the latest version.
